The law allows judges to appoint an attorney to represent children of
custody disputes to insure that their voice is heard, that they are
protected in a dispute between parents whose agenda may not be in the
children’s best interest, or when the children are being used as a
weapon against the other parent. Children need a voice in these
matters. Terri’s legal experience, mediation skills, and
experience as a parent of four children enable her to be a strong
advocate for the rights of children.
